If you are a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, with a service connected disability, you may be eligible to receive parking at a reduced rate.

To receive exemption from payment of parking fees, you would simply have to provide evidence of your service connect disability when you arrive, as outlined below.


  • You must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, with a service-connected disability of at least 50 percent, or at least 40 percent due to the amputation of a lower extremity, and
  • Honorably discharged, receiving compensation from the U.S. government as a result of such disability.
  • Proof of eligibility may be provided with a letter from Veterans Affairs stating eligibility (as noted above) or a Disabled Veteran (DV) designated license plate driven by the registered owner of the vehicle.
  • In addition to the Disabled Veteran plate, certain military honors license plates are also eligible for exemptions from payment of parking fees, including:

o             Air Force Cross

o             Air Medal

o             Air Medal with Valor

o             Army Distinguished Service Cross

o             Bronze Star

o             Bronze Star with Valor

o             Congressional Medal of Honor

o             Defense Superior Service Medal

o             Distinguished Flying Cross

o             Distinguished Service Medal

o             Former Prisoner of War

o             Legion of Merit

o             Legion of Valor

o             Medal of Honor

o             Navy Cross

o             Pearl Harbor Survivor

o             Purple Heart

o             Silver Star

o             World War II Veterans
